Karate or martial arts? Tang Soo Do is both. Tang Soo Do is a traditional style of Korean karate based on ancient methods of body movement from China, Okinawa, and Korea. Tang Soo Do utilizes forms which date back as far as eleven hundred years. These classical style forms are taught as a roadmap to quick and efficient self-defense. Tang Soo Do has pulled techniques from many older martial arts styles that make it a very complete martial arts system. Training in Tang Soo Do emphasizes the development of individual character, integrity, and respect for others.
